FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A little clarity goes a long way
Answers to common questions about UK immigration routes, evidence, consultations, costs and WhatsApp enquiries.
Choosing your route
Where should I start?
Identify your main purpose, your current country, your immigration status and any important dates. Our route library and getting-started guide can help you prepare the questions for an individual assessment.
Can my family come with me?
Dependant eligibility varies by route, occupation, course and application history. Each family member needs an assessment rather than an assumption that the main applicant’s permission includes everyone.
Can I switch visas inside the UK?
Some routes allow switching and others restrict it. Your current permission and location matter. Check the particular route before submitting an application or making travel arrangements.
Documents, decisions & costs
Which documents do I need?
Evidence is route-specific. Start with the checklist on the relevant service page, then check required formats, dates and translations against the current official guidance.
How much does an application cost?
Professional fees and government charges are separate. Costs can also include a healthcare surcharge, translations, tests or optional appointment services. Request a written breakdown before committing.
How long will a decision take?
Check the current official estimate for the route and application location. Published times are planning estimates, and identity appointments, further checks or missing evidence can affect timing.
What if I have a refusal?
Keep the entire notice and the date it was received. Check whether it offers appeal, administrative review or another remedy. Deadlines can be short; obtain timely advice and do not assume a general enquiry pauses a deadline.
Enquiries & consultations
Does sending a WhatsApp message book an appointment?
No. It starts an enquiry. Wait for confirmation of availability, the scope, the person providing advice and any fee before treating a consultation as booked.
Will the form send my message automatically?
No. The form prepares a message in your browser. Copy it, open the supplied WhatsApp chat and paste it. You decide when to send it. The website does not store the form as a lead record.
Should I send my passport or bank statements?
Please do not attach sensitive documents to your initial enquiry. First establish the appropriate service and agree a secure document-sharing process.
Is a visa outcome guaranteed?
No. The Home Office makes immigration decisions. No consultation, payment or representative can guarantee approval.
For route-specific questions, browse the service library or use the practical guides. Individual circumstances need a separate assessment.
